President’s Day Trash and Recycling Collection Schedule Announced
(Washington, DC) In observance of the President’s Day holiday, Monday, February 20, the Department of Public Works (DPW) offices will be closed and most services will be suspended for the day. There will be no trash or recycling collection; no sanitation enforcement; no nuisance abatement; no towing or abandoned vehicle removal; no parking enforcement, including meters, residential and rush hour lane restrictions. All services resume Tuesday, February 21.
Following the Monday holiday, trash and recyclables collection will slide one day for the remainder of the week in Supercan areas. In twice-weekly collection areas, service will slide on Tuesday and Wednesday, with normal collections on Thursday and Friday.
