Press Release for Immediate Release February 1, 2008 DPW’s Blue Plains Impoundment Lot Closed Early Today Due to Plumbing Problem (Washington, DC) The DC Department of Public Works announced today that the Blue Plains Impoundment Lot closed early today due to a plumbing problem. The plumbing crews are onsite making repairs. Officials anticipate the lot will reopen at 8 am Monday, February 4, but motorists are asked to call (202) 645-6500 to confirm that the lot is open.  Motorists who paid today to have their vehicles released, but could not pick up their vehicles because of the early closing, will not be charged additional storage fees for today and the weekend. The impoundment lot’s normal business hours are weekdays, from 8 am to 6 pm.  It is located at 5001 Shepherd Parkway, SW.
