At Bates Road, NE, turn left and proceed to the Fort Totten Transfer Station entrance at the top of the hill. Directions from South Dakota Avenue, NE Directions From northbound South Dakota Avenue, NE, turn left onto Michigan Avenue, NE. Follow Michigan Avenue and turn right onto John McCormick Drive, NE. Take John McCormick Drive to its end at Bates Road, NE. Turn left onto Bates Road and proceed uphill to the Fort Totten Transfer Station. Directions from Nebraska Avenue, NW Directions From Nebraska Avenue, NW, turn right onto Military Road, NW, which becomes Missouri Avenue, NW. At Georgia Avenue, NW, make a quick right and then a quick left back onto Missouri Avenue.  Turn right on southbound North Capitol Street, and bear left onto Hawaii Avenue, NE. Turn left onto Taylor Street, NE, and immediately bear right at the foot of the bridge. Turn left onto John McCormick Drive, NE, go under the bridge and continue to its end at Bates Road, NE. Turn left on Bates Road, NE, and continue uphill to the Fort Totten Transfer Station.
