Monday, October 7, 2013
DPW parking enforcement and sanitation services will be suspended for the day.

(Washington, DC) - The DC Department of Public Works will observe Columbus Day, Monday, October 14, and most services will be suspended.  Other parking regulations, including expired meters, residential parking and street sweeping, will be suspended for the holiday.

  • Street sweeping will be suspended Monday, October 14 so motorists will not need to move their cars that day.

The Ft. Totten Transfer Station will be closed Monday, October 14 and will reopen Tuesday, October 15 to residents to bring trash, bulk items and recyclables between 1 pm and 5 pm.
