The DC Department of Public Works is conducting mandatory training that may affect trash collection in certain neighborhoods on Friday, October 28 and Friday, November 4. As a result, some residents who live in Wards 1, 2, 7 and 8 with scheduled trash and recycling collection on Friday may experience a one-day delay in service. On those days, any missed trash and recycling will slide to the following Saturday as follows:

Missed collections on Friday Oct. 28 will be completed in Wards 1 and 2 on Saturday, Oct. 29.*

Missed collections on Friday Nov. 4 will be completed in Wards 7 (SE) and 8 on Saturday, Nov. 5.*

*Not all Friday collections in these wards will experience a delay; please set out your trash following your regular collection schedule.
