(Washington, DC) The Department of Public Works announced today it is adding the 1700 block of Holbrook Street NE to its list of streets where weekly mechanical sweeping of residential blocks will be suspended while construction is underway. As a result, DPW also will not issue parking tickets to vehicles that remain parked in these blocks during posted street sweeping days.
The affected blocks follow that were identified March 14, 2014:
1900 block of 8th Street, NW
1200 block of 21st Street, NW
2100 block of O Street, NW
1300 block of 20th Street, NW
All construction in these areas should be completed within the next two months.
1700 block of Holbrook Street, NE – added March 17, 2014, sweeping to be discontinued through the fall.
DPW will continue to notify the public about other areas where street sweeping is suspended due to construction.
