Property owners are asked to clear their sidewalks of snow and ice today.

(Washington, DC) The Department of Public Works announced today that subfreezing temperatures predicted for Wednesday, January 28 may impede trash and recycling collections, especially where collections occur in alleys. Today, sun and temperatures in the high 30sF will melt the snow; however, refreezing will occur overnight. Residents whose collections are missed are asked to hold their items until the next collection day.
