Department of Public Works (DPW) Solid Waste Education and Enforcement Program (SWEEP) will respond to residents’ questions regarding the proper disposal of such potentially toxic materials as pesticides, medicine, paint and compact fluorescent bulbs Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at 12 pm. SWEEP officers will discuss how to handle certain substances and alternative locations to take hazardous materials when DPW’s HHW, electronic recycling and shredding drop off service begins a new first Saturday schedule October 2, 2010.
