DPW to Make Distinction Between Agency Services with Online Chat

Friday, March 26, 2010

(Washington, DC) Department of Public Works (DPW) Customer Service and Clearing House staff will take questions from an online audience during a live, one-hour chat on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at noon. DPW customer service staff will answer questions about DPW services and clear up misconceptions about services DPW once performed when it was a larger agency. Now agencies such as the Department of Transportation, Department of Motor Vehicles, and the Water and Sewer Authority handle tree trimming, parking ticket adjudication and catch basin cleaning, respectively.

Residents can join or follow the discussion at dpw.dc.gov/livechat. Residents also may submit questions in advance on DPW’s Twitter account, Facebook page, or by email to [email protected]. DPW Director William O. Howland Jr. will answer as many questions as possible.

WHAT: Live, One-Hour Chat with DC Department of Public Works Customer Service Team
WHEN: Wednesday, March 31, 2010, 12 - 1 pm
WHERE: dpw.dc.gov/livechat

This is the second in a series of monthly online chats with DPW officials. Future topics will address the city’s street cleaning initiatives, recycling, litter and graffiti.
