(Washington, DC) The DC Department of Public Works announced today that it is resuming alley collections for trash and recycling. Last week, residents were asked to put their trash at the curb through today because the alleys were impassable. However, the high temperatures over the weekend produced some melting, which will allow the collections to be made from the alleys once again.

Residents are asked to put their trash and recycling containers at their point of collection between 6:30 pm the day before their collection and 6 am the day of their collection.
