(Washington, DC) The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) announced today that the citizen’s drop-off at the Ft. Totten Transfer Station, located at 4900 John F. McCormack Road, NE, will be closed Friday, June 25 due to a small fire. During this time, residents will not be able to drop off their trash and bulk items.

During normal conditions, the Ft. Totten facility accepts solid waste material free of charge from 1 to 5 pm Monday through Friday. The facility is closed Sundays and holidays.
