Most of the restrictions on parking in the District of Columbia are set out in Title 18 (Vehicles and Traffic), Chapter 24 (Stopping, Standing, and Other Non-Moving) of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR).
The civil penalties for violating these provisions are included in Title 18, Chapter 26 (Stopping, Standing, and Other Non-Moving Infractions). These regulations are issued by the District Department of Transportation and enforced by several agencies, including the Department of Public Works. The regulations, including 26-01 Parking and Other Non-Moving Infractions (fines), are here as a courtesy and may not reflect recent changes made to them.
