(Washington, DC) - The Department of Public Works Helping Hand Program will join forces with Frager’s Lawn and Garden Center to help residents tackle their toughest gardening challenges during a live, online chat Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 12 - 1 pm. Whether you’re planting a flower box or a community garden, this online chat will help you grow your best. DC residents whose questions are posted (and who identify themselves by first and/or last name) will receive a 10 percent discount from Frager’s.

DPW’s Helping Hand Program helps community groups organize neighborhood clean-up and community garden projects by lending tools, trash bags, and providing free compost. Frager’s, located on Capitol Hill, has been a locally owned and operated hardware store since 1920.

To participate in the session once it has begun, visit dpw.dc.gov/livechat. Transcripts of all chat sessions can be reviewed after the session by following these same instructions.
