The DC Department of Public Works will continue to distribute sandbags to District residents today at its New Jersey Avenue and K Street, SE, site (entrance on New Jersey at I Street, SE). Residents can load up to five sandbags (per household) in their vehicles. The sandbags, which weigh between 40 lbs. and 50 lbs, will be distributed until the inventory is depleted.

Rain is expected throughout the remainder of the day and a flash flood watch is in effect until 9 pm.
