DPW Suspends Residential Street Sweeping on Certain Blocks Due to Construction

The Department of Public Works announced today that weekly mechanical sweeping of certain residential blocks will be suspended while construction is underway.

(Washington, DC)  The Department of Public Works announced today that weekly mechanical sweeping of certain residential blocks will be suspended while construction is underway.  As a result, DPW also will not issue parking tickets to vehicles that remain parked in these blocks during posted street sweeping days.  

The affected blocks follow:

1000 block of T Street, NW
1900 block of 14th Street, NW
600 block of T Street, NW
1000 block to 1300 block of U Street, NW
1900 block of 8th Street, NW
1200, 1300, 1400 blocks of 21st Street, NW
1300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, NW
2100 and 2400 blocks of Newport Street, NW
2000, 2100 blocks of N Street, NW
2000, 2100 blocks of O Street, NW
1400 block of Hopkins Street, NW
2900-3400 block of Sherman Avenue, NW
700 block of Lamont Street, NW through the end of year sweeping season, which ends October 31, 2013.
