Rain Predicted for Overnight and Through Wednesday, February 2

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

(Washington, DC) The forecast for tonight and through Wednesday, February 2, is for rain, which may start around 10 pm as freezing rain but turn to all rain around 2 am as temperatures rise. The DC Snow Team will have about 50 trucks on their routes at 10 pm tonight to apply salt on bridges, ramps and elevated structures, if needed. Wednesday’s high temperature will be around 50F.

The public is asked to make sure the gutters and catchbasins near their homes and businesses are clear of snow, ice and debris so that rainwater and melting snow can flow freely into the sewer system.
