(Washington, DC) In observance of Veterans Day, Department of Public Works (DPW) offices will be closed on Friday, November 11. There will be no residential trash and recyclables collection, street cleaning, graffiti removal, or sanitation enforcement. Additionally, there will be no DPW parking enforcement, including rush hour, meter, and residential zone parking restrictions.
All citywide trash and recyclables collection will "slide" one day. Households that normally receive city service on Fridays should set out trash and recyclables for collection on Saturday. Saturday operations, such as littercan service and parking enforcement in certain areas of the city, will resume as scheduled.
