DPW to Follow Normal Trash/Recycling Schedule Fri., July 3

(Washington, DC)  The DC Department of Public Works announced today that it will follow its normal trash and recycling collections schedule on Friday, July 3.  Residents whose trash and recycling are collected on Friday, should have their trash and recycling containers out for collection no later than 6:00 am, Friday, July 3, and return the containers to their private property by 8:30 pm Friday.

Other DPW sanitation services to be affected during the holiday weekend:

Truck Touch 2015

The public is invited to attend a free, citywide “Truck Touch” Saturday, June 6, 2015, from 8 am to 1 pm at RFK Stadium, Lot 7. A host of DC government agencies will present and demonstrate nearly 30 vehicles used to clean and repair streets, change traffic lights, collect refuse, clear snow, provide emergency services, administer mobile health care, and more.

DPW Offers Options to Dispose of HHW, E-cycling, Personal Documents for Shredding in April 2015

Washington, DC) The DC Department of Public Works announced today the April 2015 schedule for disposing of household hazard waste, e-cycling and personal documents for shredding at the Fort Totten Transfer Station*.

Weekly, Saturday HHW and e-cycling drop-off schedule:  April 4, 11, 18 and 25 between 8 am and 3 pm.

Monthly, weekday HHW and e-cycling drop-off: Thursday, April 2.  Every month, weather permitting, DPW will accept HHW and e-cycling the Thursday before the first Saturday between 1 pm and 5 pm.
